Appleton Wiske Scarecrow Festival 2015

Appleton Wiske Scarecrow Festival 2015 seems to have more scarecrows than ever.

Each year, this popular event raises money for a village project: this year, it’s the Church roof.

There are plenty of witty and ingeniously made scarecrows to see, but also other arts and crafts.  There are paintings in the Chapel, Quilts in the Church, and craft stalls scattered around the village.

With homemade cakes in the Village Hall, there’s plenty to come to Appleton Wiske for this weekend.

The Festival is on 4 and 5 July 2015, from noon to 4 pm.  Here are the pictures of the scarecrows:
