Appleton Wiske Scarecrow Festival June 29 and 30, 2013

Vast selection of cakes in the village hall

This fabulous display of cakes has been baked for Appleton Wiske’s scarecrow festival. Believe me, there are as many and more sitting in the kitchen for back-up.

The cakes are to feed the crowds who’ve come to see the scarecrows, have a go at making their own on the craft stall, buy plants at the plant stall – and then enjoy a slap-up tea provided by Appleton Wiske’s talented kitchen teams.

Here are pics of the scarecrows – come to the village and vote for your favourite, either today, or tomorrow, Sunday 30 June 13.
